At first, I wasn’t sure if I could dig this song because of the first five seconds of the song. Normally, guys with this style voices aren’t my thing. A bit too indie. Although, I will say his voice does sound a bit like Spoon and I dig Spoon.
But, I’m thinking this song rules. Anyone [...]
Today was a gorgeous day in DC. If I could’ve had a theme song that matched the feeling this weather gives you, it would probably be Stars’ Bitches in Tokyo.
This is off my favorite CD of 2007, Up In Our Bedroom After the War.

My coworker Trace recently passed along the song Rise by Robbie Seay Band. He passed it along framing it as a song with hopeful lyrics that never got cheesy.
The song starts with a simple riff that shapes the melody of the entire song. Seay begins singing and he sounds like a raspier version of Isaac [...]
Imogen Heap is one of my favorite artists in years. My wife and were lucky enough to see her at the 9:30 Club in DC this past year, and she was amazing.
She just put out a new song for the TV show Heroes entitled “Not Now But Soon.” I have to say, I’m [...]
These guys are amazing. My friend Phil accurately described Ratatat when he said they have a way that “makes you feel like you’re in your own secret world, and you know something no one else knows.” Phil also introduced them to me, so thanks to Phil.
I’ve been looking for some solid instrumental music lately as [...]

It was amazing. You have to go see it. I mean, I was surprised at just how amazing it really was. The 3D technology was incredible! [...]
Copeland continues to rank in my top five with each and every new piece of music they produced. Listen to this song if you’re in a chill and reflective mood.
I am always skeptical of the discs bands put out music that contain alternate versions including three new songs. That is usually just code for crappy [...]
Angels & Airwaves second disc, I-Empire, makes the February pick of the month. I’ve had this disc for a few months but it keeps getting better, making me quite confident I will have more than a few walks–and hopefully quite a few rides on my board–smiling along with the hopeful beats of I-Empire.
I’m featuring “Call [...]

December’s review goes to Jimmy Eat World’s new disc, “Chase This Light.â€
Check out my favorite track, “Here It Goes.”
It has taken them three years and building their own studio to finally produce another album. This isn’t their best; but it’s still a really
