Deezer - Free, Streaming, Full Albums

Check out Deezer. You can stream full albums online — and so far, I haven’t come across too many albums that they don’t have. I think the quality is weird on a few tracks; but who’s arguing! This is an awesome resource for work, or wherever your travels may take you.

Displaying some versatility, you can also easily share tracks…

Noisetrade - Share Faretrade Music For Free

Noisetrade was an initiative started by Derek Webb. It’s slogan is “Faretrade music” and I believe that it was started in conjunction with Webb’s new album, “The Ringing Bell.”
You may remember Derek giving away his album a few years ago and creating quite a splash. Well, you can now download new music by telling just [...]

imeem - a great music resource

I’ve been playing around with some new music tools — you should check this one out. imeem is a much, much better version of MySpace. It’s similar to PureVolume; but I like imeem’s layout and usability more. You can popout the player for an uninterrupted listening experience, embed most of the content in your own [...]

Amazon’s MP3 Discounts - Daily Deals & $5 Fridays

If you’ve ever read this blog, you’ll know that I hate the iTunes music store , and I love the Amazon mp3 store. Well, the Amazon store just got better. They are now offering regularly discounted materia, including Friday Five. Inquisitor reports that
“Daily Deals” is updated daily and offers a popular album at a [...]

Tell Us What To Listen To

Now is the most important moment in your life.
I added a new section to the blog. Because I suck at designing, it is pretty lame. But, the concept is out of this world amazing. You’ll notice at the top it says, “Contribute.” I’d love for people to head to that area and just drop a [...]

Last.FM

I’ve been using Last.FM for awhile now, and I’m really enjoying it. I never could really enjoy Pandora as it would consistently play music that just straight up sucked, and it’s shareability was always low. Well, along came Last.FM and so far, so good.

When you play music through iTunes, Last.FM automatically recognizes that and uploads [...]

The Filter - A New Entertainment Site

Check out The Filter. It’s supposedly a way to “filter” your music, movies, videos etc. It’s in beta right now, so some things are broken. But it could be a cool idea. So far, the media player won’t work–which makes it useless, and I haven’t figured out how to “Filter” my stuff for [...]

iTunes We Are Through

iTunes has seen its last day as my digital music store. Why?
Because like everything Apple makes, it’s too damn proprietary. I can’t share my music with my friends. I can’t put music on my website to be streamed. I love sharing music. Not stolen, streamed. Not stolen, shared. Eat it, Apple.
If you enjoyed this post, [...]
