imeem - a great music resource

music is for lovers: Latest post

I’ve been playing around with some new music tools — you should check this one out. imeem is a much, much better version of MySpace. It’s similar to PureVolume; but I like imeem’s layout and usability more. You can popout the player for an uninterrupted listening experience, embed most of the content in your own site (see below), and build your own playlist with full length content. It contains videos, full length songs, photos and news. The super nice thing is that all of those are organized exceptionally well allowing for easy access to a broad overview of each content type (video, audio, photo), as well as specific content (audio only).

imeem also makes it incredibly easy to buy the music straight from the Amazon mp3 music store. Awesome. I really like their video player as well. It has a cool mashup feature when it’s not playing, and if you click on “info” it gives you the artist name, album, and song–just like old fashioned music videos.

I’ve been playing around with it’s “Discover” feature as well; but I’m not deep enough into it to say yay or nay. Regardless, imeem is a great way to check out bands you know, stream their music, watch their videos and share it with friends.

Check out this imeem page or this imeem page, and listen to the tunes below, and watch the video.

  1. Yeah Imeem is quite fine! It’s part of the websites which contributed to the revolution in the musical world. However, my favourite one in that context is http://www.deezer.com/en which brought real free and legal music-on-demand! It’s quite great, and it has quite a huge catalogue right now! Check it out.
