Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs
Death Cab For Cutie has a new record slated to arrive in May 2008 entitled “Narrow Stairs” They have a short little video on their website that’s a fun watch.
The artwork is interesting, it is a big shift from their last album, “Plans” and seems to match more of the “Photo Album” and “Something About Airplanes” feel. It’s also interesting that they’re streaming all their old songs on their site. I’ve clicked through their streaming audio player, and they’re only streaming stuff off their older stuff–no “Plans” and no “Transatlanticism.” Definitely more of the vintage; grungey, basement band type of feel.
I wonder if they’re hoping to move back toward their roots. Exciting times.
