Copeland continues to rank in my top five with each and every new piece of music they produced. Listen to this song if you’re in a chill and reflective mood.
I am always skeptical of the discs bands put out that contain “alternate versions” including “three new songs.” That is usually just code for crappy versions with three song that never should have been recorded.
Check out “Chin Up” off of Copeland’s newest album, “Dressed Up & In Line.” I have listened to the whole album, and while I wouldn’t recommend the whole thing, there are a couple of great tracks–Chin Up being one of them.
Frontman Aaron Marsh continues to show his ability to sing falsetto and damn is it pretty.
This has a bit different flavor for them as about halfway through the song some electronic sounds break in. Normally, they’re guitar and piano driven without much in the way of electronics/MIDI’s.
From this album, I also recommend:
“Thanks To You (DJ Cakeface remix)”
“You Love To Sing (Slow Version)”
